Our School

Headteacher's Welcome

Hello

May I take this opportunity to say hello and offer you a very warm welcome on behalf of all at Cavendish.

Cavendish High is an outstanding school for young people, with special educational needs, aged 11-19 years. We are an ever progressing school that chose to convert to Academy status during 2014. The school is designated for students with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) with SLD. Other special educational needs may be considered through an Education, Health and Care Plan on an individual basis. Our students all have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP).

We have high expectations of all our young people and ensure that everyone has the opportunity to achieve and be successful. We offer a range of learning pathways through our bespoke, relevant, flexible and exciting curricula.

All staff are highly skilled and committed to ensuring our young people have the best possible foundation to journey on into adulthood. The journey is a joint collaboration between the students, their families and the school. By working together we can secure a better future for all our young people.

We hope that you find the website informative and that it gives you a greater understanding of what we have to offer.

If you wish to visit us to find out even more please call us, on 01928 561 706, to make an appointment.
