Cavendish Post 16 Department
The Post 16 Department is situated at our purpose built Bungalow on the main school building.
It comprises of:
- A soft furnished area where students are able to meet at break times and socialise.
- A kitchen area where students are able to make drinks, cook and learn kitchen hygiene skills.
- Toilet and bathroom facilities which meet the needs of both able bodied and physically disabled students.
Transition to Further Education takes place at the end of Key Stage 4. The Cavendish High Academy Post 16 accepts students inhouse and from other schools within Halton and the surrounding areas. We encourage prospective parents and students to make arrangements to visit the department prior to enrolment.
Non-prejudicial visits and consultation meetings take place to inform parents/students about the ethos and curriculum which is offered.
All students follow a personalised learning pathway. The individual needs of each learner are our priority.
